He was enthusiastically returning a shopping trolley to its flock. He swung it wide like a fat drunk man jiving. Then. Caught my eye and we both knew. This was one of those uncomfortable 'do I, don't I say hello cuz he's actually work and I'm not at work'. We waved. And said Hi. That was all that was required by social law.
My accountant. An accountant.  He didn't belong to me. We were both seeing other people.

There's a woman here that keeps staring lovingly at her favourite grandchild. The perfect one she thinks takes after her.
80 vs 8. She was 8 once but 72 years of dealing with dysfunctional humanity had left her very bruised and twisted. She found her core of joy though and gazed at the young one. From a very pained face. Wishing her an easier path.

Four boys walking through the Food Court. Uncomfortable in themselves but they had each other for support. They made sense in a group. Probably wouldn't make it without the gang.
But the swagger. We are the shit. Together.  Separately I'm actually pretty shy.
Three sisters meeting. Maybe not actual but really that's what they were. And it was time for the hard conversation. And they knew it was time. And they knew the music to put on. And they knew the wine to pour. And the candles to light. Sisters have light that never dims. Sisters have compassion that always burns. Sisters care. We will need at least two cats.
